Newberry Co, SC (7/23 update): Shelter PACKED -- Lhasa mixes, fuzzy Terriers, Brittany, Husky, Chihuahua mix, MANY more!

This is a fantastic, rescue friendly shelter that is loaded with wonderful dogs! They try very hard NOT to euthanize but need rescue help. "Ziggy" is a two year old spayed female red and white colored Redbone hound mix. She is a sweet girl that gets along well with kids and extremely well with other animals. She is great on a leash and likes to go for long walks. She has previously been diagnosed with demodex, but has been treated and has a shiny new hair coat. She has been in the shelter for almost a year and would love a real home!

"Daphne" is a one to two year old female brown and white wire haired terrier mix. She is a medium to large sized girl that is very sweet and gets along well with kids and other animals. She likes to nap is will walk on a leash.

"Sweet Pea" is a five month old ?Jack Russell Terrier? mix that is a very happy girl! She has not grown very much in her time at the shelter, so she should be a small to medium sized dog when fully grown. "Sherwin" is a five year old male black lab mix that looks like he has been playing in paint. He is a sweet boy that gets along well with kids and other animals. He is leash broken and loves a belly rub!

"Cotton" is a one year old neutered male yellow lab mix. He is a sweet boy that gets along well with kids and other dogs his size. He gives lots of kisses, and is leash trained.

"Mercury" is a young adult female hound mix that is tan with merle markings. She gets along well with kids and other animals, and is leash trained.

"Sunshine" is a five month old red and white spayed female beagle/feist mix that is one happy girl! She gets along well with kids and other animals, and is working on her obedience training. She is full of energy and kisses, and should make someone a wonderful pet!

CINNAMON F Basenji (?) mix, red, adult – SPAYED"Cinnamon" is an adult spayed female ?Basenji? mix. She is a small girl that is all red with a black muzzle. She is leash trained and gets along well with kids and other animals.

"Roadrash" is a young adult male ?Doberman? mix. He is a handsome, leggy boy that gets along well with kids and other animals. He is leash trained and likes to ride.

PEANUT F Beagle mix, sable w/white chest, 1-2 yrs - SPAYED
"Peanut" is a one to two year old spayed female beagle mix that loves to nap all day! She is brown with a white chest, and gets along well with children and other animals. She is very calm and would love a home to lounge around in all day!

"Boone" is an approximately five year old neutered male brown and white colored Akita. He is housebroken and has had some obedience training. He prefers to be the only dog because he does not get along well with kids and other animals.

TUBBY M Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix, dark brindle w/white chest, 5 yrs - NEUTERED"Tubby" is a five year old Boston terrier/bulldog mix. He is very sweet and playful. He has been neutered, housebroken, crate trained, and he is good with smaller dogs. He will be a very good companion for someone who does not have children. Tubby loves to play and he is very obedient.

LUCKY M Collie/Shepherd mix, white w/tan patches, 1 yr
"Lucky" is a VERY large one year old tan and white collie/german shepherd mix. This big boy is very sweet and gets along well with kids, but has not been socialized with other animals. He also needs to work on his leash training, but he loves a good scratch behind the ears. GORGEOUS!

"Penny" is a one year tri-colored spayed female hound mix. She is a sweet girl that is leash trained and gets along very well with kids and other animals.

CATALINA F Beagle/Corgi (?) mix, white w/brindle patches, young adult - SPAYED
"Catalina" is a young adult spayed female catahoula mix that is white with brindle spots. She gets along well with kids and other animals, and is leash trained. This girl is listed as a Catahoula mix but she’s small… looks more like some kind of Beagle type mix.

CLIFFORD M Shepherd/Chow mix, red, adult - NEUTERED
"Clifford" is an adult neutered male big red dog. He is a SWEETHEART of a dog that gets along well with kids and other animals. He is somewhat obedience trained, and a lot obese. He would love a home where he could get lots of love and even more Milk Bones! Shelter favorite!

"Seattle" is a young adult neutered male beagle mix that is tri-colored. He is a friendly little man that gets along well with kids and other animals.

"Remi" is a spayed adult female brindle and white colored hound mix. She is extremely sweet and gets along well with children and other animals. She just completed her heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative, but she needs a home where she can receive extra attention! SHELTER FAVORITE!

BONNIE F Hound mix (maybe mixed w/Pointer?), white/tan, adult
"Bonnie" is an adult female white and tan ?Coonhound?. She is a very sweet girl that loves attention. She is heartworm negative and seems to get along well with other animals.

DALLAS F Beagle/Basset Hound mix, tricolor, 10 yrs
"Dallas" is a ten year old female bassett hound mix . She is a sweet girl, but she does not care for other dogs, so she would do best in a single pet home.

"Jack" is an eight year old lab mix that is black and tan with white toes and white on his chest. He is an all around great dog, because he gets along well with children, other dogs, and cats!!

"Roxie" is an adult hound mix that is black with some tan markings. She loves people and is a sucker for treats, but she would like to be the only dog in her home. She would make a great single family pet!
