Rural shelters in need...

These shelters, primarily rural and mostly in Virginia, are always in desperate need of help for their animals. There aren't many weekends that we don't have a transport coming from at least one of these shelters and there is always a need for rescue/adoption help at each one of the shelters! I set up this page to bring together the many shelters that we currently try to help in one place for people to see not only to help find rescues or adopters but to put faces on what sometimes feels like an overwhelming homeless pet population in my state of Virginia and the surrounding states. Many of these animals will have happy endings, many will not. I am hoping that with more awareness and of course plenty of hard work, spay/neuter and the help of all of the wonderful drivers and rescues that we work with that someday there won't be a need for a page like this... at least not with so many animals in need.
